  Todos Santos has recently been named a �PUEBLO MAGICO� (or "MAGICAL TOWN") by the Mexican national government - a distinction that signifies its uniquely authentic historic and artistic charm.

This brings with it an infusion of public capital into the community for expanding infrastructure within the community and for linking Todos Santos to surrounding communities over the next 10-20 years.

Currently, there are approximately 30 such communities with this distinction in the country and this status shows, not only the Mexican government's commitment to the community, but the promising future of Todos Santos, El Pescadero and surrounding towns that have already experienced notable growth and improvement in the past ten years.

Originally built by the Morgan family in 1974 and it is regarded as one of the first built homes north of the Huerta (1974). Due to this precedence it has been recognized by the government of Mexico as a grand fathered home and therefore may peacefully exist at the beaches edge, a location that is no longer allowed to be built upon. The current owners purchased the “old Morgan house” in 2010 and immediately began spending long weekends there soaking in the vistas, spectacular sunrise and sunsets and daily sightings of dozens of whales so close they could wade into the water and touch them.
After a year of contemplation the remodel began. Given the 10 prior years of neglect the current owner( a 30 year licensed building contractor) soon came to the realization that nothing but the cinder block walls was salvageable. A lengthy 3 year renovation from bottom to top. Walls & ceilings were stripped of plaster to the raw blocks, 100 % new plumbing and electrical was “saw cut” into the existing concrete slab, walls and concrete roof for precise functionality. Exotic Brazilian Onyx was imported for the bathroom countertops, American Kiln dried Cedar was selected for the custom cabinetry and doors. American Appliances were shipped in such as Sub Zero refrigeration, Thermador cooktop w/ commercial hood, Wolf double ovens & Toto toilets and sinks.
Over the course of the renovation we traveled to Mainland Mexico often to contract for custom fabrication of light fixtures, copper and silver mirrors, old world craftsman carved head boards, dressers and furnishings such as handmade tapetes ( Oaxacan throw rugs, made from 100% organic wool, dyes). Each one took almost a year to make with their antique looms.
The final phase is now complete with the complete restoration of the magnificent 1500 sq st pool and beach front patios including the addition of a “viewing Ramada”, in ground hot tub and pebble tech surfaces. Just outside of the kitchen is the outdoor bar making for efficient entertainment. At their first Super Bowl party they hosted 130 guests and nary an elbow rubbed.
